Earth Day Napa

We had a wonderful time in the radient sunshine at Napa's Earth Day celebration and got a chance to present ourselves to the public for the first time and sell some of our homemade crafts.

On the table we had sachets, reuseable coffee filters, felted ornaments, resuable coffee filter and snack/sandwich bag sets.

The bags are a new item of mine. I have two small children and we are always packing snacks with us and I needed a solution to the too-big containers and plastic baggies. These have velcro closures to mimic ziplocks and are easy for the kids to open and close.

...and seed bead bracelets which were a big hit with all the little girls..... note to self, make more small ones! (Even my own little one was captivated by the "pretties" and took it upon her self to 'tend shop' a bit.)

There was also lavender salve, lavender and rose bath salts, and dulce (seaweed) and comfrey salt scrub. All you need for a decadant, moisturizing, and relaxing bath!

We want to thank all the goddesses that stopped by our booth and talked to us and we hope to hear from you soon that we may help you "come together, connect, and celebrate" with those you love!

In Harmony Goddess Traditions

Welcome to In Harmony Goddess Traditions!

We are a new venture of sister spirits called together to share the gift of soulful communion and sacred play with other women. Last night, nestled in the rolling hills of Napa, we did just that.

As the sun went down, our sacred space came to life with candles, crystals, flowers, soft fabrics, soft music and goddess images creating a safe and nurturing place for us to engage each other in a positive celebration of being women.

Guests partaked in the age old custom of adorning themselvevs and each other. We offer colorful sarongs to drape about ones body and a crown of silk flowers to enhance the inner and outer beauty of each woman.
.....and a bit of glitter, 'cause, well... it's glitter!! and glitter needs no excuse.

The scents of roses and other herbs from the bath salts we made filled the air....
We each stirred our previously pulled affirmations into the salt....
"I am right where I am supposed to be."
That is what mine said.
"I am surrounded by loving caring people in my life"
Said another.
Six more affirmations, six more intentions stirred into the mixtures of salt, herbs, seaweed, and essential oils. (I can't wait to take a bath with those salts!)

Hands were massaged with oils scented with rose and vanilla, and then decorated with henna.

There was laughter and quiet moments, singing, drumming and really great food.

Thank you for visiting our little corner of the web and please come back soon as we continue to update bits and pieces here and there.

Birth Blessing

What magical things can one do to prepare the heart and soul for the momentous occasion of birth? Why not pamper a pregnant mother with a "Birth Blessing Party", draw her focus to her growing child with henna body designs, or preserve her motherly curves with a belly cast?

Birth Blessing Party

"Goddess Throne"

Friends make a special chair for the expectant mother, giving her a sacred place of honor. The mother relaxes in her beautiful space, and allows friends to shower her with blessings.

Foot Bath and Spoken Word

As part of the blessing ritual, friends place ingredients into a healing foot bath. Tiny rosebuds, lavender oil, and raspberry leaves are just what this mommy needs to feel nourished. Her friends take turns washing and massaging her feet. As they touch the mother's feet, her firends offer verbal blessings. "May this birthing ceremony raise the strength of our friendships and sisterhood. Ask for help and your friends will come!"
